Terms of Service

TL;DR — not a substitute for reading the real thing below

  • SMSRouter routes your verification requests to whichever integrated provider (TextVerified, SMSPVA, GetAText, FoxSims, kiwiSMS, SMSPool, MajorPhones) fits your strategy — you're paying us for the routing and the wallet, and each provider for the number itself.
  • Numbers exist to verify accounts you're authorised to access. Fraud, spam, harassment, and evading another platform's ban are all grounds for an immediate, no-refund termination.
  • Your balance is prepaid, funded in crypto, and non-refundable once spent — except that a short-term order which never delivers a code refunds itself automatically.
  • Crypto transactions are irreversible. Send to the wrong address or the wrong network and neither we nor anyone else can get it back.
  • We aggregate other companies' infrastructure. When a provider is slow, out of stock, or down, we route around it where we can — but we don't control it.

    01 — license

    Using the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access the SMSRouter dashboard and API for their intended purpose: requesting and receiving verification numbers. Everything else about the Service — its code, design, routing logic, and documentation — belongs to SMSRouter or our licensors.

You may not copy, decompile, reverse-engineer, scrape, or data-mine any part of the Service; resell or sublicense API access outside a plan that explicitly permits it; or use SMSRouter's name, marks, or pixel-art assets to imply an endorsement we haven't given.

    02 — accounts

    Accounts

Creating an account requires a working email address, which we use to confirm registration and send balance and delivery alerts. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, for keeping your password confidential, and for every API key issued under your account — treat a leaked key the same way you'd treat a leaked password.

    1. One account per person or organisation, unless we've agreed to something else with you in writing.
    2. Registering with false or misleading information is grounds for suspension.
    3. Tell us immediately at support@smsrouter.app if you suspect your account or an API key has been compromised — you're liable for activity through it until you report the compromise.

    03 — short-term numbers

    Short-term numbers

A short-term number is issued for a single verification and is strictly for receiving an incoming SMS to verify an account — not for two-way conversations, marketing, or as a standing contact number. It's reserved for the window shown at checkout (typically 15 minutes) and released back to the provider's pool once a code arrives or the order expires.

Because a number returns to the pool after use, it may previously have been used to register with the same service by someone else, and it may be reused after you. We disclaim responsibility for anything that happens as a side effect of that reuse. We may decline or cancel an order, at our discretion, where purchasing patterns look automated in a way that abuses provider inventory — for example, requesting the same service far faster than a human workflow would.

    04 — rentals

    Rentals

A rental is a number held for you over a period you choose (days to weeks), able to receive multiple codes for one account during that window, subject to whatever per-number limits the issuing provider applies. The number is licensed to you for the rental period only — it remains the issuing provider's property and reverts to their pool automatically once the period ends, whether or not you've finished using it.

An unused rental is non-refundable once the number has been issued to you — see §7. We may reclaim a rented number before its period ends if the provider that issued it withdraws it from service; where that happens we'll credit the unused portion back to your balance.

    05 — api & webhooks

    API access & webhooks

API keys are scoped and rate-limited per the plan attached to your account. You're responsible for keeping keys out of client-side code, public repositories, and logs, and for revoking a key the moment you suspect it's exposed. We may throttle or revoke a key that's abusing rate limits or that we reasonably believe has been compromised.

Delivery of incoming SMS over the API is by webhook only — we don't offer a polling endpoint. If you register a webhook endpoint, you're responsible for verifying our signature on incoming requests, keeping the endpoint available, and handling retries idempotently, since the same delivery event may arrive more than once.

    06 — purchases & wallet

    Purchases & the wallet

The Service is prepaid. You fund a balance through our own payment rail, which accepts BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT and USDC — we don't take cards and don't run a subscription. A recharge fee, shown before you send funds, applies to each top-up, and we may change which assets we accept or adjust that fee at our discretion.

Every order is priced as the underlying provider's cost plus a routing fee, and the total is shown before you confirm. We may change pricing, fees, or which payment options are available at any time; changes apply to orders placed after the change, never retroactively to a charge you've already paid.

    irreversible

Cryptocurrency transactions cannot be reversed. Double-check the network and address our payment rail gives you. Funds sent to the wrong network, the wrong address, or after an invoice has expired can be permanently unrecoverable, and we can't manually credit a balance for a transfer we can't match to an invoice.

    07 — refunds

    Refunds

    EventWhat happens to your balance
Code delivered before expiryCharge stands — provider cost + routing fee
Short-term order expires, no codeAuto-refunded in full
You cancel a pending order yourselfAuto-refunded in full
Rental period ends, or you stop using it earlyNo refund for unused time

Outside the automatic cases above, we don't refund a delivered number, a completed rental, or a wallet top-up back to fiat — balance can only leave the platform as a number order or, on account closure in good standing, as a crypto payout under §11. We reserve the right to deny a refund request tied to a violation of §8, or to reverse a credit issued in error.

    08 — prohibited activities

    Prohibited activities

Numbers exist so you can verify accounts, products, or services you are authorised to access — your own accounts, your users' accounts with their consent, or accounts you're testing as part of legitimate QA or development work. That authorisation is the line. You may not use the Service to:

    • Create accounts on a platform in violation of that platform's own terms in order to commit fraud, run scams, or defraud a person, business, or payment system.
    • Send unsolicited bulk messages, run phishing campaigns, or generate fake reviews, fake engagement, or fake social proof at scale.
    • Evade a ban, suspension, or verification requirement imposed on you personally by another platform, or help someone else do the same.
    • Harass, stalk, impersonate, or intimidate another person, or contact emergency services.
    • Facilitate child sexual abuse material, human trafficking, terrorism, or any other conduct that's illegal wherever you or the recipient are located.
    • Probe, attack, or attempt to circumvent SMSRouter's own systems.

    08b — partner brands

    Partner brands

Some sites offering this Service run under another name (a partner brand) on SMSRouter's infrastructure. In that case the brand's operator sets the prices you pay and answers your support tickets, and may publish its own terms; SMSRouter provides the numbers, holds the deposits and remains responsible towards the number providers. These Terms apply to the Service itself regardless of the brand, and SMSRouter may suspend a partner brand that breaches them — your balance and history are preserved when that happens. If you run a partner brand, the partner terms you accepted when creating it apply in addition.

    09 — suspension

    Suspension of services

You can close your account at any time from the dashboard. We can suspend or terminate access, immediately and without notice, for a violation of §8, for registering with false information, for activity that exposes us or another user to legal or security risk, for non-payment where payment is owed, or as required by law. Where we reasonably believe activity is unlawful, we may report it to the relevant authorities.

On termination for cause, any remaining balance is forfeited. On a voluntary closure in good standing, the payout provision in §11 applies.

    10 — your responsibility

    User responsibility & indemnification

You're solely responsible for what you do with a number or a rental — the accounts you verify, the messages you send from a service you connect to that number, and any consequence of using the Service outside §8. You agree to defend and indemnify SMSRouter against claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your violation of a law or a third party's rights, or activity you route through the Service.

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, and SMSRouter won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of it. Where liability can't be excluded, our total liability to you for any claim is capped at whatever you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to it.

    11 — disruption of services

    Disruption of services

SMSRouter is an aggregator, not a carrier. Every number we hand you is issued by an independent third-party provider, and that provider's own infrastructure determines whether a given number can actually receive a given SMS. We don't control provider uptime, inventory, or carrier relationships, and we're not liable for a provider's outage or for a provider discontinuing a service we route to — where a provider fails to deliver, your remedy is the automatic refund in §7.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including a specific provider integration, at any time, and aren't liable for doing so. We may, at our discretion, refund an unused balance to a crypto address you control if you close your account in good standing, minus any network fee to send it.

    12 — our rights

    Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves — adding a provider or a country doesn't need a new agreement, but a material change to your rights does get a heads-up. We'll post the new effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, email the address on your account at least 15 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the update.

    13 — governing law

    Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SMSRouter is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

    14 — complaints

    Complaints & contact

Before filing a claim anywhere else, contact us — most billing and account disputes get sorted out faster this way. Questions about these Terms, security reports, and everything else, including the dashboard's live chat: support@smsrouter.app.
